week 2 - memoryyy

Originally, before taking these memory tests I was pretty certain that my memory was great. After all, I can remember the birthdays of anyone I have ever met ( quick memory flex haha). Who knew that my memory is actually even worse than average. Well, at least according to these memory tests.

The first one I took was a short-term memory test where I had to 30 seconds to look at a couple of words and then they would disappear so, I would then have to write as many as I remember in the blanks. I scored 4/12 (yup, clearly short-term memory isn't for me). I found the last couple words easy to remember while, the rest were just blank, resulting in leaving many of the blanks even empty.

For the second test,  I had to find the dot that was changing color out of multiple other dots measuring speed and visual changes. On this I scored 6.12, while the average score was 10.12. This test I found a little difficult because the dots were trippy and were messing with my eyes.

For the 3rd test, it was about vocabulary where I had to choose the most closely related word to the main word. That test was the only test where I got close to the average. I got a 30.43 while the average was 36.495. Personally, more than memory I feel like this test was more if you knew the word or not.

Overall, I think these tests were more based on short-term memory, while long term memory may be my strong suit.

week 6- personalityyy

Hey guys! Today's blog is quite interesting, it basically is just gonna tell you about my personality through 5 personality tests haha! Personality Test #1: Jung Typology Test This personailty test puts you in the category of 16 personailty types in the world that is based on extraversion, sensing and thinking.  I have actually taken this test before earlier this year for English, and I was curious to see if my personality has changed because, I have definitely had grown since, the beginning of this year. Surprisingly, I got the same type as the beginning of this year, which is INFJ. This type I have heard is the rarest type in the world, which is really cool to me. Also, I think the only thing that doesn't really match is Judging, because personally I think I perceive more than judge.  Personality Test #2: The Dark Side of Personality  This test was supposed to base your personality on three topics: narcissism, machiavellianism, and psy...

week 9- the goodbye

Dear Future AP Psychology students, Many of you will take this class because the subject seems super interesting and it definitely is. I personally have learned so much in this class it's crazy. I can say that this has been one of my favorite classes from four years in high school. I honestly wish it was a whole year course.               My main advice to you guys is that truly do your vocabulary. Yes, I know it's optional and who even has time for that stuff but, seriously do it. It helps a lot because vocabulary is key in psychology. Like I guarantee you that just knowing vocabulary would help you so much on tests and on the AP yourself. Also, I liked how Ms. Halfen had study plans for the vocab which, helped split up the vocab so, it wouldn't be too much on one day. Personally, vocab was the first thing I did once I got home or whenever I started my homework, so it was just easier to get it out of the way. Also, do the review questions!! Th...
